Virginia Brown is a journalist, content marketing writer, and editor whose recent work appears in The Washington Post, AFAR, Atlas Obscura, Southern Living, AAA Traveler, Our State, Apartment Therapy, Columbus Monthly, Silicon Valley Business Journal, and many others.

She holds a B.A. in communications from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a master’s in journalism from Northwestern University’s Medill School.

On assignment, Virginia has flown in a helicopter over St. Lucia, interviewed astrophysicist Neil deGrasse Tyson, swum alongside sea turtles in protected waters, and shared the stories of countless inspiring artists and entrepreneurs.

A former communications director at a large performing arts nonprofit, she also works with corporate clients, nonprofits, and small businesses on newsletters, websites, e-commerce writing, and sponsored content. She is a regular contributor to Best Western International’s Travel Zone.

Virginia is a member of the American Society of Journalists and Authors and lives in Little Rock, Ark.
