Virginia Brown is a writer, multimedia journalist, and editor whose work appears in The Washington Post, Afar, BBC News Magazine, AAA Traveler, Our State, The Charlotte Observer, Columbus Monthly, among many others. She holds a BA in communications from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a master’s in journalism from Northwestern University’s Medill School of Journalism.
On assignment, Virginia has flown over St. Lucia in a helicopter, interviewed astrophysicist Neil deGrasse Tyson, swum alongside sea turtles in the protected waters of Petit St. Vincent in the Grenadines, and shared the stories of countless inspiring artists and entrepreneurs. A one-time communications lead at a large performing arts nonprofit, she also guides businesses on editorial strategy and content creation.
Virginia is originally from Charlotte, N.C., and is currently based in Columbus, Ohio.
