I craft stories that inspire and inform.
My writing has appeared in the BBC News Magazine, Departures magazine, USA Today, AAA GO magazine, Charlotte magazine, Carolina Bride, among others, including the collection 27 Views of Charlotte.
After earning my master’s degree at the Medill School of Journalism at Northwestern University, I produced digital news features for the BBC News Magazine in London.
Today I’m based in Charlotte, North Carolina, where I’ve worked as a writer, editor, and media relations and communications professional.
In my latest role, as Vice President of Communications and Content for the Charlotte Symphony, I oversaw media relations, publications, marketing content, social media, and overall branding and positioning.
Prior to my role at the Symphony, I was a staff editor at Charlotte magazine, where I managed all travel content and wrote everything from photo captions to long-form cover features. I’ve written front-of-book stories, Q&As, profiles, and I often conceptualized and led the magazine’s service packages, including the popular 50 Things Every Charlottean Should Do. I also edited the local line of visitor publications under the global Where travel brand.
Oh, and I’m a Tar Heel. I’d love to hear from you.
